My roommates brother asked if we could do like a hangout at our house and asked if he could invite a couple of friends. That night I think I was at a family dinner, and as soon as I got to my house I noticed that there were a couple of new people in the kitchen area so I decided to go up to them and say hi. I see my boyfriend in the kitchen with my roommates brother, and another friend and ohhh boy, I saw my boyfriend and I thought he was really really cute. We got to know each other more and I knew that I wanted to be with him. Funny thing, his other friend was hitting on me but I was definitely not interested, and out of the blue my boyfriend was helping his friend out and asked jokingly "why are you rejecting my friend?" and I thought that they would do bro code. So I got bummed because I just thought that since it was obvious that his friend called "dibs" on me then nothing would happen. Buttttttt days go by, I received a text from the sister missionaries from his ward (I was attending his ward because one of my roommates attended that ward and I would just go often with her to where I got to know the sister missionaries pretty well) and asked me if I could attend with them to a missionary discussion with an investigator. I agreed and it was scheduled for 8:30. Later on I got invited from my boss to attend a theater performance that one of their kids would perform and I felt bad rejecting it because they have invited me a couple of times so I said yes but I planned to leave a little bit early so I could get to the meeting on time. The theater started late, so I felt bad of needing to leave early, so I was about to cancel the missionaries but I had the feeling not so, I decided not to cancel and leave early. I get to the place, I get out of the car and as I am walking towards the house I see my boyfriend walking towards me and we both kind of like stopped and laughed. So I asked him what he was doing here and he responded saying that he got invited by the missionaries. He asked me what I was doing there also and I responded the same thing and I immediately got soo nervous because I was worried that I would look like an idiot Infront of him during the meeting. It went well. But before I met him, my other group of friends and I decided to go on a tip to California for the weekend . After I met my boyfriend, I found out that he got invited, so my plan was to make sure that we would ride together to California. We did and the rest is history!
