I was at friend labor day party, and she was kind of sorted invited that day but really, she didn't know anyone there. I don't even remember who brought her. It was obvious she was alone because she was standing alone for way too long. I noticed her walk through the crowd trying not to make it too obvious she had no one to talk too and I felt bad for her, so went over to engage her. We got engaged a year later and have been happily married for a long time. (I see I used 'engaged' twice. First time was informal and the second time was formal :)
